Patch Personnel have partnered with a well-capitalised and consistently active gas producer to appoint an experienced Area Superintendent to lead multi-site production operations in Queensland.

The Area Superintendent will lead production operations, maintenance, and field performance across the asset base.  This includes guiding safe, efficient and compliant production operations while optimising performance, reliability, and team capability.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity to play a pivotal role in strengthening and supporting field operations, embedding capability, consistency, and operational discipline across an established and growing team and asset base.
  

Responsibilities of the Area Superintendent include though are not limited to:

  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Lead and optimise daily, weekly, and monthly production performance across multiple sites
  • Oversee and drive preventative and corrective maintenance programs, improving asset reliability and reducing downtime
  • Lead fault finding and troubleshooting activities across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Develop, implement and standardise operating procedures, maintenance systems, and work practices
  • Manage site resourcing, including workforce planning, contractor management, and operational readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, performance, and cost outcomes
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to supervisors and operational teams
  • Ensure accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting
  • Maintain effective stakeholder engagement, including landholders, community, and regulatory bodies
  • Oversee land access and compliance requirements across operational areas

  
About you

To be successful in this position, you will be a hands-on, credible leader who can balance operational delivery with strategic improvement, bringing a structured and proactive approach to driving performance uplift across field operations. 

Your career thus far will have provided opportunity to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations leadership capacity as Superintendent/Manager within oil & gas or energy across production operations / field environments
  • Strong background in maintenance, operations planning, and asset reliability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams across geographically dispersed operations
  • Solid understanding of HSE systems, permit to work frameworks, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
