About this position

Patch Personnel have partnered with one of Australia’s most exciting oil and gas operators to source an experienced Land Access Adviser to join their growing team. 

This position represents a career changing opportunity to work with a stable and supportive team of industry recognised and respected leaders to drive this business from mid to large scale operations.
 
The Land Access Adviser reports to the Manager of Access & Approvals and is focused on developing, managing and maintaining relationships with landholders and other third parties to ensure positive relationships are maintained while ensuring land access is in place for operational and development activities.
 
Key Capabilities of the Land Access Adviser include though are not limited to:
 

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with landholders across operations maintaining relevant documentation
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and landholders to identify locations and planning for development activities
  • Negotiate with landholders and finalise compensation agreements
  • Coordinate all necessary lease and access preparation to support ongoing operational activities
  • Liaise with the relevant Traditional Owner parties on the ground to facilitate site inspections
  • Liaise with the stakeholders for co-development area activities requiring access to the land
  • Assist with local community liaison activities and be a positive company and community representative
  • Be familiar with the statutory requirements to support the Land Access deliverables to the business, land owners and community
  • Contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Land Access Team’s activities and systems

 
Skills & Experience of the Land Access Adviser
 
To be successful in this position the Land Access Adviser you will be experienced at mid to senior level Land Access / Land Liaison position within oil and gas exploration & production sector.  This will include a demonstrated success achievement in supporting landholders and business to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes.
 
To do this you will have excellent interpersonal skill and communication to build and maintain positive relationships with land owners, the community and relevant stakeholders. 
 
You will have developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated success managing high-pressure situations and the ability to influence positive outcomes.

An ability to work across teams both corporate and operations and a self-driven approach to managing the area of responsibility will be an essential component to success and a key element of the selection for this position.  This will include an unwavering alignment to the business values of innovation, agility and accountability underpinned by honest ethical regard for all stakeholders.
 
This is a permanent position based in regional Queensland working a highly sought even-time rotation.
 
The nature of this position requires experience working in and a full and current right to work in Australia.
