An opportunity is available to join a vibrant process engineering team, taking ownership of process performance and improvement of a variety of project across Oil and Gas, Power Generation and assisting with Low Carbon Emission Projects.
The purpose of the role is to deliver business outcomes through the identification and implementation of process improvements, provision of high-quality technical advice and the management of process technology and systems.
Responsibilities will include;

  • Proactively manage process issue resolution and lead problem solving and root cause activities.
  • Development and continuous improvement of engineering, plant and equipment standards and specifications in the process engineering discipline.
  • Review and approval of chemical engineering aspects of changes made, including review of PFDs, PIDs, PDRs, datasheets and specifications.
  • Design, construction and commissioning activities in the process engineering discipline to meet defined project objectives.
  • Ensuring adequate hazard identification and risk management processes are in place.
  • Develop production and process performance metrics and use these metrics to identify opportunities that drive improvement in areas such as process safety, production, efficiency, and waste reduction.

Suitable applicants will have;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering
  • 10 years + in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably within a consultancy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team or independently with self-drive and initiative.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Well-developed problem solving skills with the ability to provide sound and timely technical advice to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental licensing for the Chemical industry
